Privacy policy
We protect the personal data you give us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we look after it.
Last updated: June 2026
1. Who is responsible
Wescalab (We Scale Lab) is responsible for personal data collected through wescalab.com. For any question about your data, write to contact@wescalab.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect two kinds of data:
- Data you send us: name, email address, website URL, and a description of your project, sent through our contact or audit forms.
- Anonymised technical data: pages viewed, visit length, browser and device, approximate location — collected with Google Analytics 4 and IP anonymisation on.
3. Why we use it
Your data is used only to:
- Reply to contact, audit or strategy requests.
- Prepare strategy calls booked through Calendly.
- Improve the site by reading aggregated, anonymous browsing patterns.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
- Form data (name, email, message): up to 3 years after the last exchange.
- Client records: for the contract, then for as long as accounting law requires us to keep the documents.
- Anonymised analytics: 14 months at most (Google Analytics setting).
5. Third-party services
To run the site we use:
- Netlify (hosting) — San Francisco, USA
- Cloudflare (DNS, security, email routing) — San Francisco, USA
- Formspree (contact form handling)
- Google Analytics 4 (anonymised audience measurement) — Google LLC, USA
- Calendly (booking) — Atlanta, USA
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We use providers that offer appropriate data-protection safeguards.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
- Objection — object to a use of your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format.
To use these rights, write to contact@wescalab.com. We reply within 30 days.
7. Cookies
The site uses technical cookies it needs to run, and audience-measurement cookies through Google Analytics. The language you see depends on the page address, French or English, not on a cookie. Non-essential cookies can be turned off in your browser settings.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical measures: HTTPS (SSL/TLS), secure hosting, and restricted access to personal data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page is the date of the latest version.
